Meet the Maker 2021: Newest make

Stuck at home during the first lockdown, trying to make sense of it all, we started working on our new collection: Lockdown Animals.

In these strange and sad times of Covid we came across one small beautiful thing: suddenly animals started to reclaim the empty cities. Swans in the canals of Venice, ducks in the fountains of Rome, racoons were taking over Central Park in New York. While we were working on our new series and posting our progress on social media, we started getting messages of people telling us about other animals they had seen around their houses and cities. That’s how our fox entered the scene. He popped up in a garden in Berlin. While unfortunately lockdown is still far from over, our lockdown animals is an ongoing project.
